This underlies the importance a healthy body plays in the overall health of a person which the UN defines as the state of physical, mental and emotional well-being. Nothing is as important to keeping a person physically healthy as food, or more correctly speaking – food containing all the nutrients that body needs; a healthy diet. Food is the fuel on which the body runs, so the better your fuel the better you body will function. And better fuel refers here to a healthy diet.

Healthy Diet

A healthy diet can be defined as the collection of food that contains all the nutrients you require to keep your body functioning in the normally. The body requires much despised fats in order to function well but not too much of them. There is no food that doesn’t contain fats, the difference lies in the amount. Besides fats, humans also need to supplied with adequate amounts of carbohydrates, water, proteins, vitamins and minerals to keep things in order. Meal and cereals are main sources of fats, carbohydrates and proteins. Vitamins and minerals are usually found in vegetables and fruits. A healthy diet involves eating foods that provide your body with right amount of each of these essential nutrients. Both, a deficiency and excess of these nutrients is not good for humans.

The information explosion brought about by the internet has changed the situation drastically.
